A Review of the Insect Acoustic Communications
摘要
Abstract
Acoustic communications is one of the most important methods used by insects. Insects used these acoustic signals to attract females, warn others and hide from predators. This paper briefly introduces the studies on insect acoustic communications, and discusses some typical insect acoustic behaviors according to taxonomy, including Acoustic communications in Orthoptera species, Acoustic communications in Cicadidae, Buzz-pollination of Bumble Bees, Acoustic interference to bats in moths and Application studies on acoustic communications. The studies on acoustic communications will not only give us better understanding of phylogeny in insects, but will also provide more theoretical and experimental evidence for the study of information communication patterns in the communications of intro-species, communications of inter-species and the communications between insects and environments.关键词
