Relationship between vascular endothelial function and vascular lesions of lower limbs in type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between vascular endothelial function and vascular lesions of lower limbs in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods A total of 86 patients with 12 DM who received treatment in our hospital from February 2006 to August 2010 were included in the study. According to whether there was vascular lesion and the severity of the lesion, the patients were divided into three groups: simple T2DM (group A) , T2DM with light vascular lesion (group B) , T2DM with moderate vascular lesion (group C) and T2DM with severe vascular lesion. The levels of plasma vWF and MCP -1 were determined by ELISA. Results There were statistically significant differences between group A and groups B, C, D in the levels of plasma MCP -1 and vWF. Conclusion Levels of plasma MCP - 1 and vWF markedly increase in T2DM patients complicated with vascular lesion of the lower limb and increase with the vascular lesion severity.关键词
