Efficacy and therapeutic observation of glucocorticoid on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy and safety of oral intake of glucocorticoid and prednisone acetate tablets on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A total of 89 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD were randomly divided into two groups. The control group received conventional treatment and the observation group received prednisone acetate tablets (15 mg/time, 2 times a day, continuous intake for 14 d). The lung function, arterial blood gas and adverse reactions were observed. Results Compared with the control group, the lung function and arterial blood gas were greatly improved in the observation group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Besides, it had less adverse reactions and the adverse reactions almost disappeared after stopping medication. The therapeutic efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion Prednisone acetate tablets may be taken as an effective selection in the treatment of acute exacerbation stage of COPD, and is worthy of further clinical popularization.关键词
