Abstract
Objective To explore the value of computed tomographic virtual endoscopy (CTVE) in the diagnosis of ischemic bowel disease (IBD). Methods A total of 65 patients with suspected IBD were examined by CTVE. 64 - slice spiral CT was employed to scan the volume of abdominal thin layer. Meanwhile, spiral CT was used to enhance scanning and Volume Wizard was taken to process images. Results Thirty - eight patients (58.46 %) had confirmed IBD by CTVE examination, 9 (13. 85%) had suspected IBD or inflammatory intestinal disease, 13 patients (20%) were not positive, 3 patients were misdiagnosed as colon cancer, and 2 patients were misdi-agnosed as colonic polyp. Conclusion CTVE is a safe, effective and non - invasive method in the diagnosis of IBD, and it is particularly of interest to patients who can not tolerate the enteroscope. Thus it has potential to be applied widely.关键词
