Study on shear capacity of FRP-concrete composite beams based on strut-and-tie model
摘要
Abstract
A strut-and-tie model was proposed to analyze the shear strength of FRP-concrete composite beam according to the bonding failure at the FRP-concrete interface. In this model, the FRP plate was considered as a tie bar and the compressive concrete in discontinuity zone could be considered as a strut bar. The failure criterion (i. e. maximum bonding shear stress) at the strut-tie nodal region was used to indicate bonding at the FRP-concrete interface. The authors and Hall and Mottram' s beam tests were compared with the propped model in terms of the ultimate loads and angles of diagonal cracks. The calculated results show that there are good agreements between the test values and modeled values and the model can be used to predict the load carrying capacity of composite beams effectively.关键词
