Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficiency of metadoxine combined with tiopronin in the treatment of patients with alcoholic liver disease. Methods 60 cases of hospitalized patients with alcoholic liver disease were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each group. The two groups received the same general treatment, and the control group was treated with tiopronin while the treatment group was added with metadoxine tablets based on the treatment of the control group. The TBil, ALT, AST, GGT, A/G, TC, TG and other biochemical indices were detected before and after treatment respectively, and the clinical symptoms and signs were observed. Results After 4 weeks, the tola] treatment efficiency was 96. 67% in treatment group, which was significantly higher than that in control group 76. 67% ; after treatment the TBil, ALT, AST, GGT, A/G, TC, TG levels were significantly lower in treatment group than those in the con-trol group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01) . There was no obvious adverse reaction in both the two groups. Conclusion
Metadoxine and tiopronin combined treatment shows better effect than the single treatment with tiopronin.
