摘要
Abstract
Objectives To study the expression of IL-1β and IL-lOmRNA in gingiva biopsy from patients with adult periodontitis and healthy controls and to investigate the effects of the two cytokines on periodontitis and the correlation between the two cylokines. Method: 14 gingival specimens were obtained respectively from 14 adult periodontitis patients, and another 6 were obtained from 6 healthy volunteers. The expression of IL-lβand IL-lOmRNA were detected with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCFO. Result: Percentage of IL-lβand IL-lOmRNA expression in gingiva were 92.86 % and 71.43 % respectively in gingiva with periodongtitis and significantly different from the healthy controls.But the two cytokines don't have correlation with each other as supposed. Conclusion: Expression of mRNA for pro-inflammatory eytokine IL.-1β and anti-inflmmalory cytokine IL-10 were positive in gingiva. It seems that the anti-inflammatory effect of IL-10 is not strong enogh to antagonize IL-1β.关键词
