Abstract

To improve the radar recognization ability for high velocity target, we need to analyze the echo model and study the movement parameter estimation and the compensation method of range profile. To investigate the serious influence of compressed echo pulse widening caused by target's high velocity on the range profile quality, the model of echo for high velocity target from wideband linearly frequency modulated radar signal is established, and the effect of target's high velocity on the range profile is analyzed. A method of parameter estimation using fractional Fourier transform is proposed to remove the effect of target's high velocity on the range profile. An iterative algorithm is put forward, which is proved to have higher calculation speed with enough estimation precision. Simulation results are given finally, which show that the proposed methods are correct and have good robust property.
