Abstract
The effects of different concentrations(0, 5, 10, 20, 30 mmol/L)of CaCl2 on the growth, physiological and biochemical characteristics of pakchoi(Brassica campestru ssp. chinensis L)under salt stress were studied by the methods of root injection and foliar spray with CaCl2. The results showed that 10 mmol/L CaCl2 significantly increased the plant height, plant dry weight, fresh weight, water content and the number of expanding leaves, decreased the malondialdehyde(MDA)content, enhanced the leaf superoxide dismutase(SOD), peroxidase (POD) enzyme activities, and significantly increased the photosynthetic pigment content and net photosynthetic rate of pakchoi leaves under the salt stress.The above analysis showed that the suitable concentration of exogenous calcium could ease the damage of NaCl stress on pakchoi by enchacing the capacity of osmotic adjustment, antioxidant capacity, protecting the structure and function of membrane, enhancing photosynthesis.关键词
