Study on Remediation of Soils Polluted by Heavy Metals Using Surfactants

Abstract
This paper discusses the rcmediation effects of three surfactants, i. e. , sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SI~S), polysorbate (Tween-80) on remediation and elution of soils polluted by heavy metals such as chromium and cadmium as well as the adsorption of the polluted soil to the three surfactants. The leaching experiment shows that the three surfactants have significant effects to remove chromium and cadmium in the soil, of which the removal rate of chromium and cadmium by polysorbate are 61.2% and 37.06% respectively. The experiment shows that the polluted soils have strong adsorption effect to all the three surfactants, which has adverse effect of removing heavy metals from the soil.关键词
