On the Awareness and Practice of Ecological Ethics
摘要
Abstract
Ecology is natural environment where human beings are supposed to exist and develop harmoniously. In the a- grarian age, human beings, though unaware of its value and significance, held nature in awe and lived with it, so it was in conformity with the philosophy of ecological ethics. However, with human＇s growing instrumental rationality since mod- ern times, there has been a serious damage to natural ecology in the process of urbanization and industrialization, during which man has become conscious of the importance of ecology and his commitments to it. Thus, it is the obligation of whole community, especially the governments to practice the philosophy of ecological ethics.关键词
