Sterilization of whole tumor antigen-stimulated dendritic cells with vancomycin hydrochloride and imipenem/cilastatin sodium

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the sterilization methods for whole tumor antigen stimulated-dendritic cells (DCs). Methods The extract of whole tumor antigens, was added to DC culture media. The antigen-stumulated DCs were cultured with graduated concentrations of vancomycin hydrochloride and imipenem/cilastatin sodium. The bacteria and fungi in the co-culture media were examined after 24 and 48 h. Results Fungi were not detected in all 39 specimens of control group, but bacteria were detected in 7 samples. All specimens in experimental group showed negative fungi and bacteria. Conclusion Addition of vancomycin hydrochloride and imipenem/cilastatin sodium in DC culture media with whole fumor antigen extract can be used for sterile culture of antigen-specific DC cells.关键词
