Establishment of colorectal cancer tissue bank and quality control
摘要
Abstract
Objective To establish a standardized colorectal cancer tissue bank. Methods The project and protocols were approved by Ethical Committee of the hospital. Colorectal cancer tissues were collected from patients and stored in freezer. Results A standard protocol for sample collection was developed. During one year period 587 samples of colorectal cancer tissue and 549 serum samples were stored. RNA and the genomic DNA of the randomly selected specimens were of good quality. The percentages of cancer cells in cancer samples were greater than 80% and the specimens collected were associated with complete clinical data. Conclusion The colorectal cancer tissue bank established in this study can fully meet the requirements of clinical and basic research.关键词
