摘要

Abstract

Foamed gel system has a promising prospect in profile control and water shut off for water flooding oilfields. Based on investigation of the technology at home and abroad, this paper overviews the conventional and microscope experiments on foamed gel system in respects of formula, influencing factors, and flow state in porous media and so on. Foamed gel system is increasingly used in oilfields. This paper generalized its application in sand control, gas channeling control, as well as edge and bottom water control, and analyzes the advantages of foamed gel system in water shut off and profile control. The inadequacies of the technology are brought up for further research.
