A New Joint Estimation Algorithm for Uplink OFDMA

Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) which is a technology of multi-user access based on OFDM, as BEEES02.16e mainstream technology, will promote the development of the cellular mobile communications. In OFDMA system,the synchronization errors play an important role,they not only destroy the orthogonality among subcarriers,resulting in ICI and ISI,but also introduce multi-access interference (MAI). To eliminate the synchronization error's impact on system performance,propose a novel method to estimate jointly time offsets (TOs) and carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) in the time-domain for multi-user in the OFDMA uplink. The method is shown to offer good accuracy, while maintaining a reasonable complexity compared to conventional estimation schemes and it improves the system performance effectively.关键词
