摘要

Abstract

A method of determination of trace iron in the water by bromocresol green catalytic spectro-photometry is established. In the medium of sulfuric acid, a new method of determination of iron with enzyme catalysis dynamics is established according to the fading reaction of hydrogen peroxide .and bromocresol green is quantitatively catalyzed by the trace iron. The 290 nm of the maximum absorption wavelength is determined at the temperature of 97℃, and the reaction time is 10 minutes: With the method of trace iron determination, the linear range of this method is 0 — 2. 5μg/25mL, and the detection limit is 2. 79 × 10-3μg/mL. When this method is used in the determination of the iron in drinking water, the satisfactory results is achieved.
