摘要

Abstract

To investigate the adsorption behavior of the major component of cut tobacco, Guggenheim-Anderson-De Boer (GAB) equation is applied to fit the equilibrium moisture content data of the samples at equilibrium relative humidity(water activity) from 0. 45 to 0. 75 at 25 ℃. The equation gave excellent fitting goodness. Monolayer moisture content of 25℃ estimated by GAB model is 6.14% (cut leaf), 7. 04% (stem), 5. 92% (expanded tobacco) respectively (dry basis). Safe moisture content is predicted by applying GAB to adsorption data, are 16. 69%(cut leaf), 18. 30%(stem), 15. 00%(expanded tobacco) respectively (dry basis), at aw = 0. 65 as the critical point, the results give a reference for the moisture content design of tobacco process.
