摘要

Abstract

There are many users in GSM network. The introduction of Femto framework into GSM access network fits the trend of flattening development of mobile communication network. GSM gateway based on Femto architecture is studied in the paper. The GSM gateway is taken as a interface of client data accessing core network to merge the mobile, broadband and fixed communication business together, and plays an important role in GSM network. IP load mode is adopted in the design. It makes the interface of Abis full IP. Based on Femto framework, the GSM gateway the the functions of signaling processing, data conversion and code conversion, coding rate adaptation and routing was implemented on the ATCA platform by means of the modular design method. A phone call has passed through the gateway and its voice quality has reached commercial standard. It has an important practical value.
