Abstract

The measurement of Traditional chemical oxygen demand (COD) needs to consume large amounts of chemical reagents, it easily causes secondary pollutions to the environment with high test cost and has difficulty to realize automatic on-line monitoring. The full-spectrum COD on-line monitoring device developed by s:'can company could automatically clean and measure without intervention. In this paper, the instrument performances were investigated. Parts samples of the lake water and river water in Yantai were tested, and the results were compared with the laboratory results. The device was proved to be no reagent, width linear range(0-160 mg/L), the lower quantification limit (0.36mg/L), apt to determinate instantly with rapid sampling frequency(30 s^-1) and the high precision. It can meet the request of domestic on- line monitoring device and realize the real-time online monitoring.
