Abstract
Infectious bursal disease (IBD) , caused by infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) , is an important infectious disease. In the present study, the samples from a suspected chickcn farm in Jiangsu province were detected by RT-PCR using IBDV vp4 specific primers, combined with the clinical symptoms, pathological changes, SPF embryo inoculation test and agar diffusion test. IBDV infection was confirmed in this farm. According to the results of artificial challenge test and the VP4 gene sequence analysis, the IBDV isolate is a virulent strain with VP4 gene variation. The result provides a useful reference for the prevention and control of IBD in Jiangsu province.关键词
