摘要

Abstract

Speech sounds are the coat and a part and parcel of a language. The learning of speech sounds is a necessary step of English learning. However, in the process of learning English pronunciation, Chinese dialectal pronunciation is playirlg a part of positive or neg- ative transference. This article summarizes the phonological features of Xinyang dialect and its differences from English pronunciation. And we think that when teaching English pronunciation in Xirtyang, teachers should pay more attention to the differences between the dialects and English pronunciation, and choose niehetargeting teaching materials and image materials to help the students learn the rules of English pronunciation.
