摘要

Abstract

Suspended particles transport and deposition in porous media play an important role in pollutant purification, oil exploration, nuclear waste disposal, water- soil conservation. In order to study the effect of suspended particles concentration on the breakthrough curves, 4 different suspended particle concentrations have been studied under 3 flow velocities in columns of saturated porous media. The studies show that, under constant suspended particle concentration, the relative concentration is increase with the flow velocity. Meanwhile, under a constant flow velocity, there exists a critical concentration for suspended particles. Below the critical concentration, relative concentration in breakthrough curves is in creased with the suspended particles concentration; but the trend is inversely when the suspended particle concentration is more than the critical value. Besides, the critical concentration of suspended particles is related to the flow velocity; the critical value is increased with the flow velocity.
