Influence of concentration of suspended particles on transport and deposition characteristics in saturated porous media
摘要
Abstract
Suspended particles transport and deposition in porous media play an important role in pollutant purification, oil exploration, nuclear waste disposal, water- soil conservation. In order to study the effect of suspended particles concentration on the breakthrough curves, 4 different suspended particle concentrations have been studied under 3 flow velocities in columns of saturated porous media. The studies show that, under constant suspended particle concentration, the relative concentration is increase with the flow velocity. Meanwhile, under a constant flow velocity, there exists a critical concentration for suspended particles. Below the critical concentration, relative concentration in breakthrough curves is in creased with the suspended particles concentration; but the trend is inversely when the suspended particle concentration is more than the critical value. Besides, the critical concentration of suspended particles is related to the flow velocity; the critical value is increased with the flow velocity.关键词
