Controlled Hypotension Induced by Esmolol Hydrochloride and Nitroglycerin in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of continuous infusion of nitroglycerin with or without esmolol hydroehloride in functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). Methods: Forty patients scheduled for functional endoscopic sinus surgery were randomly divided into the study group (n= 20,nitroglycerin + esmolol hydroehloride ) and the control group (n= 20,nitroglycerin). Data of blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),blood loss volume(BLV) and operation time(OT) were recorded. Results: The mean arterial blood pressure(MAP) in both groups were significantly decreased after induction (P<0. 05). The average HR in the study group decreased significantly after the induction of nitroglycerin and esmolol hydrochloride(P<0. 05),while the average HR in the control group increased significantly after the induction of nitroglycerin(P<0. 05) . The BLV and OT in the study group were significantly less than those in the control group(P<0. 05),Conclusion; The combination of nitroglycerin and esmolol hydroehloride can be applied in FESS to achieve exact and stable controlled hypotension.关键词
