Abstract
Objective: To investigate the value of MR diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in the differential diagnosis of urinary bladder lesions. Methods: Fifty-three patients with urinary bladder cancer and 12 patients with benign urinary bladder lesions constituted the study group and 11 individuals with normal urinary bladder constituted the control group. DWI of all individuals were analyzed and ADC values of lesions and normal walls were measured. Results: All the 53 urinary bladder cancers displayed a restriction in diffusion. Two of 12 the benign lesions displayed a mild restriction in diffusion and the others displayed no restriciton. The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of DWI in the diagnosis of malignant urinary bladder cancer was 100%,83.3%,and 96.9% respectively. The mean ADC value of the urinary bladder cancer was (0.76±0.17)×10-3mmVs,which was significantly lower than that of the benign Iesions(1.21±0.20)×l0-3mm2/s and the control group(1.55±0.15)×l0-3mm2/s(F=89.04,P<0.001). Conclusion: DWI and ADC have a high value in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant urinary bladder lesions.关键词
