Abstract
[ Objective ] To investigate the clinical effect and operative points of synovectomy under arthroscopy on pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS). [Methods] From September 2006 to October 2010, 20 patients underwent arthroscpic therapy. All cases were treated synovectomy under arthroscopy. All patients were performed preop-eratively and postoperatively Lysholm and IKDC2000 score to evaluate the functional rehabilitation of the knee joint. [Results] All cases postoperative pathologic evidence for PVNS, including diffused PVNS 17 cases and localized PVNS 3 cases. All cases were followed up for a mean of 28.4 months (from 6 months to 40 months), 19 of 20 cases were satisfied with the therapeutic effect, the patient joint swelling and pain, activities such as the limited obviously improved or disappear, 1 patient recurred. By the Lysholm evaluation system, they scored (55.00±5.69) and (81.75± 4.09) before and after surgery respectively, showing a statistically significant difference (t=21.620, P <0.001), By the IKDC2000 evaluation system, they scored (51.10±5.17) and (72.60±3.83) before and after surgery respectively, showing a statistically significant difference (t=23.085, P <0.001). [Conclusions] The standardization of arthroscopy operation techniques can be effective in the treatment of knee pigmented villonodular synovitis , has the merits of minimal invasion and rapid recovery, satisfactory results.关键词
