Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the influencing factors of the subject compliance of anti-cancer drug clinical trials, and to discuss the importance of pharmaceutical intervention in clinical trial. METHODS: 14 clinical trials of anti-cancer drug in Jiangsu Cancer Hospital from Nov. 2009 to Jun. 2011 were summarized. The influencing factors of subject compliance were analyzed. After evaluating compliance, pharmaceutical intervention measures were carried out, such as strengthening compliance education, providing medication counseling, improving reminder and supervision. The compliance of subject was re-evaluated after 4 visit cycles, and the impact of above measures on subject compliance was analyzed. RESULTS: The study showed that subjects ages, educational levels, geographic factors and whether accompanied by family members might be the main factors affecting compliance. Subjects aged above 65 years-old, education level under high school, far from the home and without family members accompanying might have poor compliance (P<0.05). In addition, therapeutic environment, adverse drug reactions, medication regimen and investigators' abilities might also affect the compliance. Those poor compliance patients were given comprehensive pharmaceutical intervention, after 4 visit cycles, the compliance of enrolled subjects was greatly improved (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Clinical pharmacists could effectively enhance subjects' treatment compliance through pharmaceutical intervention. Pharmaceutical intervention ensures the ongoing of clinical trials and comes to be an important part in clinical trials.关键词
