Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To compare the local anesthetic effect of articaine and lidocaine for acute pericoronitis. METHODS: 160 cases of acute wisdom pericoronitis were divided into articaine group and lidocaine group according to outpatient order with 80 cases in each group. They were given articaine and lidocaine for pericoronitis local infiltration anesthesia. Anesthetic effect and the effect of adjuvant therapy of 2 groups were observed and compared. RESULTS: Anesthetic effect of articaine group at pericoronitis washing was better than lidocaine group (P<0.0\); Therapeutic efficacy of articaine group was better than lidocaine group after 24 h (P<0.05); From the point of view of entire treatment, pericoronitis inflammation control time of articaine group is shorter than that of lidocaine group (P<0.01); Adverse drug reactions was no significant difference (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Articaine can be used for local infiltration anesthesia of acute pericoronitis washing. The anesthetic effect is good, safe, and reliable, better than lidocaine.关键词
