Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for the content determination of evodiamine, rutaecarpine and evodine in Euo-diae Fructus. METHODS: HPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Dimma C18(200 mm× 4.6 mm, 5 μrn) column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.04% sodium heptanesulfonate solution (48 : 52, V/V) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 225 nm and column temperature was 35 ℃. RESULTS: The linear range was 5.38~53.80 μg·mL-1 for evodiamine, 5.02—50.20 μg·mL-1 for rutaecarpine and 10.30~103.00 μg·mL-1 for evodine (r=0.999 9). The average recovery rate of 99.75% (RSD=0.67% ,n=6) , 97.66% (RSD= 1.16% ,n=6) and 85.68% (RSD=85.68% ,n=6), respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is simple, feasible and reproducible, and can be used for the content determination of evodiamine and rutaecarpine in Euodiae Fructus. The recovery rate of evodine is in low level, and the determination method needs to be further improved.
