The Impact of Electro Acupuncture to Spatial Memory Ability of AD Rats
摘要
Abstract
Objective: This paper provides a new method to clinical treat senile dementia through the observation of spatial memory ability of every group rat and evaluating of the improving function to old AD rats awaken ability through electro acupuncture on the Yongquan and Baihui points. Methods: Morris water maze was used to divide natural aging rats into 3 groups which were the healthy old rats group, electro acupuncture group and the model group. Each group has 12 rats. Rats in the electro acupuncture group was stimulated on Baihui and Yongquan points after fastened while rats in the other groups were only fastened without treatment. After treatment, morris water maze was used to train and testify the spatial memory ability of old rats in each group. Results:The spatial memory of aged AD rats was obviously improved through the electro acupuncture on the Yongquan and Baihui points. Both of the information swimming time and the choosing swimming time of the e-lectro acupuncture group has significant difference from the model group(P<0.05 or P <0. 01). Conclusion; Stimulating with electro acupuncture on the Yongquan and Baihui points is able to significantly increase the spatial memory ability of old AD rats.关键词
