摘要

Abstract

The characteristics (physical components, moisture content (MC), volatile solids (VS), elemental composition, biogas production potential) of kitchen waste from campus were investigated. The results show that kitchen waste with high moisture content and high organic matter content is mainly made up of rice. The elemental composition of the kitchen waste satisfied the requirements of anaerobic digestion. The accumulative biogas yields of the mixture kitchen waste rice, vegetable, meat are 508.3, 478.2,433.3 and 206.8 mL/g (in VS calculation), respectively. The biogas yields of mixture kitchen waste are 6.3%, 17.3% and 145.8% higher than that of rice, vegetable and meat, respectively, which probably results from the good complementarity among different components.
