Effects of flavonoids from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi on broilers nutrient digestibility and growth performance

Abstract
500 one-day-oht AA broilers were used to evaluate the effects of flavonoids from Scutellarki baicalensis Georgi on their nutrient digestibility and growth performance. The chicks were assigned to five treatments, each treatment had 100 birds. Treat one were given basal diet, others were added with flavonoids from ScuteUaria baicalensis Georgi at a dose of 5 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg, 15 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg, respectively. The results indicated that metabolic rate of DM and apparent metabolic： energy in experimental groups were increased during 0-3 week; but they were decreased during 3-7 week; the apparent metabolic rate of CP and EE in 20 mg/kg group were improved by 4.47% （P〉O.05） and 2.12% （P〉 0.05）. respectively. The apparent digestibility of Ca in experimental groups was increased by 17_32% （P〈0.05） and 10 mg/kg group was the best during 0-3 week. But the apparent digestibility of P in experimental groups had no significant Improvement （P〉0.05）. BW, ADFI and F/G of broiler in 10 mg/kg treated group were significantly improved on Day 49. In conclusion, flavonoids from Scutellaria baicalensis could improve the nutrient digestibility and growth performance, and reduce F/G in broilers with an optimal dose of 10 mg/kg.关键词
