Abstract
The existing shear force calculation formulas are summarized and analyzed theoretically in this paper. The shearing process of drum flying shears is simulated numerically with FEM. The result is compared with that of theoretical calculation. It shows that shear force has a close relationship with strip thickness, width, velocity and the material strength: whenever the thickness of the steel strip increases every 0. 5 mm, the shear force will increase by 25. 2% ; whenever the steel strip width increases every 150 mm, the shear force will increase by 12% ; the running speed of the sleel strip increases every 40 m/min, the shear force will increase by 1. 7% ; the strip strength is higher, the shear force is bigger.关键词
