摘要

Abstract

During recent years a large number of experiments prove that the active components in traditional Chinese medicine, such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, polysaccharides, terpenes, unsaturated fatty acid, are able to pre-vent and cure diabetes. Its superiority is that the effect can last longer and the side - effect is less. Studies actually on the anti - diabetes activity and mechanism of constituents in traditional Chinese medicine are reviewed in this paper. It will provide reference for developing novel anti - diabetes drugs of Chinese herbs.
