Temperature Parameters Optimization and Experiment on Multi-Squeezing Casting of Crankcase

Abstract
In this paper, multi-squeezing casting of motorcycle crankcase was simulated by the FEM simulation program, the influence of pouring temperature, top mold temperature, lower mold temperature and dispersed shrinkage, low-density area was analyzed, and the optimization parameters of temperature were obtained. Furthermore, the experiment results were accord with the simulation ones. The results show that the quality of the casting by multi-squeezing casting is superior to that of common squeezing casting when the castings have uneven wall thickness and complex structure. When the pouring temperature is 680 ℃, the temperatures of top and lower mold are 200 ℃, dispersed shrinkage area declines from 10% to 7%. Pouring temperature has the most notable effects on the dispersed shrinkage and density of the casting part, and the top mold temperature slightly over the lower mold will benefit the quality of castings.关键词
