摘要

Abstract

The mechanical properties of the gray cast iron for brake drum were researched in order to satisfy the requirements of heavy duty vehicles brake drum. The mechanical properties of the samples were tested and analyzed after pouring, which were made by adding small or trace quantity of Sn, Sb, Cr, Cu, and other elements, using 75SiFe and homemade inoculants for inoculation on the basis of carbon content of about 3.7%. The experimental results show that the mechanical properties of the brake drum can be improved by adding alloy elements. Three adaptive formulas for brake drum were obtained on the basis of comprehensive consideration its quality and economic factors.
