摘要

Abstract

The nano-zinc powders with mean particle size from 30nm to 45nm were prepared by self-designed fabricated high-vacuum three-electrode DC arc plasma production apparatus. The crystalline structure, chemical composition, morphology, and particle size distribution of the samples were characterized by XRD, XRF, TEM and simple PCI software. The preparation mechanism of nano-zinc powders was investigated based on yield and particle size. The results show that the adding hydrogen molecule results in the increase of melt temperature and actual evaporation area in melt. The undercooling generated from the plasma and the drastic collision between zinc evaporated molecule as result of increasing cycling wind rate makes sure that the crystal nucleus is fine.
