摘要

Abstract

[Objective] To study the functions and comprehensive utilization value of Neottopteris plants in subtropical rain forest ecosystem, [Method] The nutrients content in the leaves of Neottopteris nidus and the chemical elements of its perched soil in its rosette were analyzed. The paper introduced the comprehensive utilization value of Neottopteris nidus from its edible value, medicinal value and garden value, [ Result] The Neottopteris nidus complex could not only enhance the biodiversity,increase the structure level of rain forest, provide habitats for invertebrates and micro-organisms or symbiosis with other fern species, and regulate moisture and nutrients cycle in the forest systems, but also offer such services as edible vegetables and pharmaceutical materials for landscaping and horticultural purposes- In addition, it could also be used in ecological and environmental monitoring and as a model plant species in forestry studies. [Conclusion] To resonably develop and protect the Neottopteris nidus is of great significance to helping develop the eco-services functions and resources potentials, and realizing the sustainable development and utilization of Neottopieris nidus resources.
