摘要

Abstract

IEEE 1588 precise time protocol, which has advantages in high synchronous precision, low computation consumption, flexible in realization as well as working without special instruments, has been widely used in the fields of distributed control systems, digital substations, wireless communications, etc. Using the architecture combining hardware and software, the low-level functions in DP83640 are implemented and upper protocol applications in application software are achieved. The design also packages APIs of synchronous configuring, time-based triggering, event-based timestamp, second-level pulse, etc., which may play an important role on true utilization of IEEE 1588.
