摘要

Abstract

A triggered vacuum switch(TVS) is one of the important apparatuses in the field of pulsed power system,especially the electromagnetic launch.It has many advantages,such as wide operating voltage range,high current capability,high transfer charge,flexible trigger system,high trigger reliability,rapid dielectric recovery,long life,low noise,etc.A sample of surface-breakdown TVS with six-gap rod electrode system was fabricated in this paper.A trigger system was designed and a platform for the TVS test was set up.Experiment results show that,the sample designed has working voltage of 0.05~25kV,working current of more than 100kA in peak value and charge transfer of more than 25C.The total delay of TVS is less than 1.5μs,including the wait time of 800ns and collapse time of 700ns.At last,the working polarities are discussed,showing that the positive working mode is more reliable and advantageous.
