Abstract
Many current safety communication protocols are an add-on by adding more error check mechanisms to conventional communi- cation protocol. Sometimes the weak points in conventional communication protocol are neglected. This leads to failure of so called safety protocol. For example, the hidden node serial nature will cause the residual error rate increase and system availability lower when the number of nodes in series increase to some extent. Other unsafe factors include imperfect redundancy consideration, impractical fault as- sumption and the affects of fault in lower protocol.关键词
