Abstract
Objective; To investigate the clinical efficiency , advantages and disadvantages of endoscopic thyroidectomy by areola of breast approach with conventional open thyroidectomy in patients with benign thyroid tumors. Methods: Eighty-two patients underwent endoscopic thyroidectomy by areola of breast approach ( endoscopic group) , 95 patients underwe.nt conventional open thyroidectomy ( open group). Clinical data of the two groups such as operation time,blood loss.intraoperalive and postoperative complications,the time drainage drainage volume,postoperative C-reactive protein,the postoperative cosmetic score and hospital stay were compared. Results; There was no signilicant differences in operative time,intraoperative and postoperative complications,time of drainage,postoperative C-reactive protein,hospital stay, recurrence between the two groups. As compared with the open group, endoscopic group had less blood loss, superior cosmetic scores, but more volume of drainage. Conclusions; Compared with conventional surgery , endoscopic thyroidectomy is minimally invasive,has less blood loss,superior cometic scores,and is worthy of being widely applied for patients of benign thyroid tumors.关键词
