Contrast Observation on the Contamination Characteristics on Line Charged Composite Insulator

Abstract
Equivalent salt deposit density(ESDD) and non soluble deposit density(NSDD) are the basic data for outer-insulation coordination and pollution distribution classification,and it is hard to obtain the contamination data of charged composite insulator.In order to study the contamination characteristics on charged and uncharged composite insulator,we selected 22 transmission towers representing typical distribution as the contrast observation positions for composite insulator of charged and uncharged,measured ESDD,NSDD and the ratio of NSDD to ESDD of composite insulator with 2 years contamination time,and compared the difference of natural contamination characteristics of composite insulator of charged and uncharged.The results show that,the upper surface ESDD of composite insulator is not influenced whether it is charged or not.the lower surface ESDD of charged composite insulator is about 1.3 times that of uncharged one;the single insulator ESDD average value is about 1.1 times that of uncharged one;there is a good relation between the ESDD average value of composite insulator charged with the upper and lower surface ESDD of that uncharged;the upper surface NSDD of composite insulator charged is 0.4 times higher than that the uncharged,the lower surface NSDD is 0.7 times higher and the NSDD average value is about 0.5 times higher than that of the uncharged;the ratio of NSDD to ESDD of charged is higher than that of the uncharged.关键词
