Abstract
In order to improve the lightning withstand level of ±500 kV DC transmission lines and to reduce the lightning flashover rate,polymeric MOA with no-supporting series gap for ±500 kV DC transmission lines was developed and manufactured.By analyzing the operation duty and protection principle of the target line surge arrester,its structure requirements were presented and its main technical parameters were calculated and designed.The polymeric MOA with no-supporting series gap for ±500 kV DC transmission lines has been developed successfully by the State Grid Electric Power Research Institute,of which the nominal voltage,the residual voltage and the positive 50% lightning impulse discharge voltage are 571 kV,1 064 kV and 1 830 kV,respectively.By means of the pattern tests,it is proved that the mechanical and electrical properties of the line surge arrester are reasonable and the parameters design could be achieved successfully,which assures the line surge arrester could provide satisfactory protection for the insulator strings.The successful development of the product field in the domestic blank among line arresters for DC transmission lines,and lays a foundation for the usage spreading of the device on ±500 kV DC transmission lines.关键词
