摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of root canal therapy for second mesiobuccal canal of maxillary first molars.Methods 40 patients with second mesiobuccal canal of maxillary first molars who had been hospitalized during the period of 2008 to 2011 received root canal treatment.Results 33 of the 40 patients were effective,4 were markedly improved,3 were invalid,with a total effectiveness rate of 92.5％.The number of patients with pain response differed significantly after treatment ( 3 vs.28 or 7.5％ vs.70％,P＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Proper preoperative examination,careful intraoperative exploration,and root canal therapy according to the correct steps can improve the cure rate of second mesiobuccal canal and reduce pain response in patients.Root canal therapy for second mesiobuccal canal is worth popularizing clinically.关键词
