Abstract
Three adsorbent materials were prepared via the simultaneous graft of thiol and amine on MCM-41.Their structures with different molar ratios of APTS to MPTMS in modifying agents were analyzed by X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms technique as well.The batch adsorption experiments were carried out.The results indicate that the sample of MA-MCM-2 exhibits a maximum adsorption amount to Co2+ in dilute solutions with the removal efficiency of 50%.The adsorption isotherm behavior of MA-MCM-1 and MA-MCM-2 followed both the Langmuir and Freundlich equations,and the maximum adsorption capacities were 0.227 mmol/g and 0.251 mmol/g,respectively.The adsorption kinetics followed the Lagergren pseudo-second-order rate model.The adsorption of Co2+ for MA-MCM-1 was due to the liquid film diffusion and the intra-particle diffusion,and the adsorption of Co2+for MA-MCM-2 and MA-MCM-3 was only due to the liquid film diffusion.All the adsorbents showed a decreased adsorption ability to Co2+in the presence of Ca2+and Mg2+.However,MA-MCM-2 removed Co2+at the removal efficiency of 38% in dilute solution even when the interfering metal ions concentration was up to 200 mg/L.Therefore,the MA-MCM-2 could be used for the selective adsorption for Co2+in dilute solutions.关键词
