Performance comparison among four different modulation formats in 40Gb/s optical fiber transmission system
摘要
Abstract
Transmission performance in 40Gb/s single channel transmission system of four formats are simulated by Optisystem simulation software.The four modulation formats are Non-Return to Zero (NRZ),Return to Zero (RZ),Optical Duobinary (ODB) and Modified Duobinary Return to Zero (MD-RZ). After long distance transmission, MD-RZ format still have a better eyes open degree and high Q value. Compared to NRZ ,RZ and ODB formats,MD-RZ has a superior dispersion tolerance and non-linear tolerance and most suitable in ultra long transmission.关键词
