Energy-efficient design of 10G EPON ONU based on dynamic queue buffer allocating technology
摘要
Abstract
This paper describes a method for optimizing 10G EPON ONU for energy saving purpose,which is a dynamic queue buffer allocating technology associated with the burst transmitting characteristics in ONLTs upstream direction. Based on protocol analysis, we built a simulation model of 10G EPON network in OM-Net++ platform, and then the parameters for implementing the method are obtained. The method was simulated on FPGA platform, and result shows that it can be flexible to be integrated into the existing EPON devices, and can effectively reduce the overall energy consumption of ONU.关键词
