Abstract
Network flows of different applications are classified and treated with different quality of service (QoS) in multi-service network. Both configuration and measurement for multi-service network are faced with many difficulties and challenges. Measurement for multi-service network is quite different from that of the traditional network. According to the characteristics of multi-service network, we present four key issues on multi-service network measurement. They are overload measurement, multi-service traffic generation, measurement for interactions of different applications, and performance metrics measurement. On the basis of these issues, we give the basic methodology of multi-service network performance measurement.关键词
