Abstract
Objective To study the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of intraspinal hemangiopericytoma and improve the management of this disease. Methods The clinical data of 18 patients with intraspinal hemangiopericytoma confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively, then the results were valued. Results Of 18 patients,7 achieved totally resection,9 sub-total resection and 2 gross resection. 12 patients were followed up from 11 to 131 months (mean 57 months) , 9 were given radiotherapy. 5 died and 2 of them metastasized. Other 7 respectively returned to daily life normally. The 5-year survival rate and recurrence rate was 87. 5% and 37. 5% respectively. Conclusions Intraspinal hem-angiopericytoma are malignant tumors. The tumor should be resected totally as far as possible,then the radiotherapy was suggested. Long-term follow-up is essential because of easily recurrence and metastasis.关键词
