Analysis of Cross-Polarization Scattering Strength from Target
摘要
Abstract
The precondition of the knowledge that the intensity of radar cross-polarization scattering is weaker than the co-polarization is easy-to-be ignored. The precondition is that the target is symmetry on the plane established by the antenna and the target. The particular position makes the cross-polarization component of the target scattering significantly weaker than the co-polarization scattering component. In this paper, through theoretical analysis and experimental measurements, it is proved that the cross-polarized component is not weaker than the co-polarized in a broad sense. This conclusion is helpful to further develop the polarization measurement ability and improve the working performance of radar.关键词
